slow pods and constant updates

Have had pods and the Xfi router for a long time and was quite happy with it. While the router (unfortunately is at one side of the house and has to be there for various reasons), the pods gave me great coverage in the rest of the house, garage and yard.

I have 500 Mbs download and 6 pods, average speed via the pods was about 60-70 mbs.

Over the past two weeks I noticed that the pods are quite often blinking (at least once a day) and are either updating, adjusting etc. Usually they were doing this once a week during the night (had one in my bedroom, so I could see the blinking at 2 am 🙂 )

Now they do this at all times of the day. Speed at the pods has dropped to 20 mbs and it's no longer sufficient. I also see that at various time, most of the wifi devices in the house are connected via one pod, even though they are closer to another pod.

Speed close to the router is fine, no issue here.

What could be the problem ?

I'm having the same problem where the pods are going offline throughout the day, but everything is fine with the gateway.  It's a bit frustrating with working from home and my kids getting ready to go back to school remotely.  Hopefully, there is a solution soon.

so I went to the Comcast store and got the updated router. They weren't sure whether my router was on the fritz or what. So far, it seems to help but one pod still turns on and off at random times. Watching it.

Stay tuned.
