Slow internet

Speed when its working normal per your own speed test is about 450Mbps (not the gigabit speed I pay for) but the speed keeps dropping randomly to a crawl and sometimes cutting out completely (below 10Mbps per your speed test). There is no rhyme or reason you could be gaming or just browsing the web it doesn't matter. The issue is the main cable box for the neighborhood whenever it rains or snows or is wet outside or someone sneezes in medical lake or a butterfly flaps its wings in the amazon the whole neighborhood starts having internet issues. Our neighborhood has a pretty active forum since we all live around a park and we have a thread on it that is pretty lengthy. We have all complained at one time or another and you have almost to the person said its the wiring to our houses and a technician needs to come out and fix it. NO! You don't need to be sending some sketchy 3rd party tech out to come look through all of our houses. You need to come fix your faulty box. It's been giving the neighborhood issues for at least 10 years. I've already floated the idea that we all switch to TDS when it becomes available here this spring. Wires are already laid in this neighborhood. They're just finishing up the network side of things before making it available. So fix your equipment and quit putting the blame on nonsense [Edited: "Language"].

@Jburrz, thank you for taking the time to reach out using the Xfinity Community Forums page. I know how important high speed internet is in the digital world we live in today. Let's take a closer look at what exactly is going on causing your speeds to be so much lower. We would be happy to address the connection in the neighborhood at large if we determine that to be the root cause. Firstly, let's rule out a few other things. Have you already attempted any troubleshooting steps using the Xfinity Support site?
