Slow internet using X1 Technicolor Gateway and CM1200 Netgear router

Service: 1Gbps service

Tested with X1 Technicolor Gateway router

CM1200 Netgear Cable Modem/ ASUS  AC-1900 Router

All cables are new Cat 6 cables.

All speed testing done on Comcast speedtest and speedtest.net

All wifi testing done in the same room as router with clear line of sight to the device.

My preference is to use the CM1200/Asus router set up but I am seeing 1/3 the bandwidth which is 1/3 of the speed of my service.

Line has been tested end to end by technician. No splitters, but there are a few male to female connectors in the line. All were checked by technician. I'm providing screenshots of the CM1200 power and event logs. Can anyone help me get this closer to the advertised service level? I understand there are variables around devices, wifi standards, and  distance etc. But these all seem extremely low to me.

X1

Wired internet: 95Mbps

Wifi internet:300Mbps

CM1200

Wired internet: 95Mbps

Wifi internet: 95 Mbps

If there are further questions please do not hesitate to ask and I'm happy to provide information. I've restarted the modem twice though I've not gone through the technician troubleshooting process on the CM1200 as I just installed it today in the hope I could improve over the X1 performance.

How many modems are you connecting? So your going from the technicolor modem to another Netgear modem to a router? No wonder it’s 1/3 of your speeds they are fighting for the internet. You need to decide which will be your main “router only” to connect ALL your devices. 1 modem only for the internet to pass thru in bridge mode. That’s too many modems and routers do you have a small business?

FWIW, the CM1200 is a straight / plain vanilla cable modem. There would be no way to cascade it with another "modem".

Sorry for the confusion. This is 2 different configurations. I am using the X1 individually.  I am testing each  gateway separately by going through the process to initiate the gateway via the Xfinity device initiation process.

Configuration 1:

X1 gateway serving as both gateway and wifi router.

Configuration 2:

CM1200 Cable modem with ASUS Ac-1900 as wifi router.

Neither set up gets past 300 Mbps. Each of these 2 configurations only receives 95 Mbps via ethernet cable. I suspected this may have to do with the old laptop I have to test with so I tried using my HDMI TV with a new Cat6 cable. I achieved 105 Mbps (Xfinity speedtest) and 65 Mbps (speedtest.net).
