Slow internet speeds.
I have been dealing with slow speeds that are nowhere near the 500 mbps that I’m paying. Technicians spent 6 hours working on the issue this past Saturday and discovered that there is low light coming from the fiber tap in my area. They said that wouldn’t cause my issue. They eventually determined it was a dirty fiber connector. The tech cleaned it and I appeared to get faster speeds. Now, here we are 2 days later and my speeds are slow again. Why am I paying for a service I’m not getting? Is this a common issue? I’m new to fiber internet. Could it actually be an issue with the tap on my street? If so, how does that go about being corrected?
