Slow "Gigabit" Speed

I'm one of what I'm sure are 10's of thousands of Xfinity customers who pay for "Gigabit" Extra" speeds who actually gets a fraction of that speed. Because dealing with Comcast/Xfinity is such a pain [Edited: "Language"], I complain occasionally but continue to pay the premium price for [Edited: "Language"] service.

Using Xfinity's own speed test from an up-to-date Windows 11 PC connected to the router via ethernet, my download speed moments ago was 209.4 Mbps.

Can someone from Xfinity (1) tell me what they can do to improve the speed we receive or (2) help me update our plan so that we're paying for what we're actually receiving and (3) refund the fifference between what we've paid and the service we've received for the last 10 years?

Hello, thank you for reaching out about this. I am sorry to hear you are experiencing lower than expected speeds.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
