Slow downloads and intermittent internet

I've reset the gateway 3 times, and the GHZ 2.4 light keeps flashing.  Dowload speed is about 30mps.  For the past 24 hours internet has popped in and out.  Wondering if the problem is Xfinity or if it's a problem with the Gateway.  I do know that others who have been working from home have had connectivity issues throughout the Denver metro area.

We finally spoke voice with an Xfinity tech.  It seems they had lowered us to 2.4 ghz.  It took awhile but he was able to change that to the 5.0 ghz. Thanks for your comment, though.

For a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
