simply replacing my netgear router with a asus BD4

I replaced my netgear router with a Asus BD4 router.  The cable modem is still a Motorola SURFboard SB6120. After doing a reset of the SB6120 through the Xfinity app, everything is working fine.  The problem is that after some time, the connection is dropped.  This has happened 3 times so far today.  Each time I reset the SB6120 it works again but this is unsustainable.  Any thoughts?

Hello @user_8kyw9y I appreciate you reaching out and providing clear details about your home network setup and the issue you're facing. It sounds incredibly disruptive to have your connection drop multiple times a day, especially after thinking everything was working fine post-reset. I completely understand that having to reset your modem repeatedly is unsustainable.
Here's a few troubleshooting tips: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/internet-troubleshooting-tips/602dae4ac5375f08cde52ea0. Let me know if this helps.
