Signed up for internet but outside lines from pole are very old.
Signed up for the 300mbs internet on 12/12/25, up to 1.2gbs was offered but I don't need that much. Problem is the lines outside from the pole are 30+ years old and there hasn't been service here for ~25 years. I'm worried the cables/box are not up to supporting this kind of internet. Does this kind of long delay without service trigger a tech to look at the setup or do I need to ask?
The modem is on its way already.

Hello @user_Karth, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We completely understand why you’d be worried. In situations like this, a technician visit is often recommended to inspect the lines and equipment before activation. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
