Shows WiFi connected but not connecting to internet

This is a regular issue, about every other month. All of our devices show they are connected to the wifi gateway, but when you try to use an app, check email, or go online, you either cannot connect or you are only connected for a few minutes before you are no longer connected. Every time I end up talking to a person, they have me do a factory reset, and then I have to go around and reconnect all of our devices again...as I said, about every other month! The only computer that stays connected is the one with a direct Ethernet cable to the gateway (which is what I am using now because nothing else is working). Does anyone on here have any better solutions than just factory resetting each time? thanks

Thanks for taking the time to post here on the community forums, user_fmcqdl! I can definitely understand being frustrated by a routine like that going on for so long. If you're having to factory reset the gateway each time to resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be something wrong with the gateway itself. Have you already tried swapping it out at your local Xfinity Store?

Yes...After lots of calls to the help line, they finally sent a technician out. When they could not connect to the gateway with their phone, they replaced it. It worked for a few months, and then we were back to restringing it again and again. The wifi signal is strong, at least how it shows on the devices, but no internet.
