Severe Routing Latency Spike at Dallas ibone Node (68.86.95.113) During Peak Hours

Hello,
I am experiencing severe latency spikes (ping over 300ms) on all devices connected to my network. The automated Xfinity app tools report that my local signal and gateway are fine, but a traceroute reveals a major bottleneck deep within the Xfinity backbone network.
The latency is occurring outside of my local loop and home network. The ping is completely stable until hop 7, where it instantly jumps from 13ms to over 240ms at the Dallas core routing node.
Traceroute Bottleneck Node:
  • Hostname: be-34912-cs01.dallas.tx.ibone.comcast.net
  • IP Address: 68.86.95.113
  • Impact: Affects all outbound traffic passing through this regional exchange point during evening hours.
Please escalate this to the NetOps (Network Operations) or Tier 2/3 engineering team to investigate a potential routing misconfiguration, capacity overload, or hardware bottleneck at this specific Dallas ibone node.
