Setting up a 2.4 GHz network
I bought a robot vacuum cleaner that needs to connect to a 2.4 GHz network. Xfinity made me upgrade to a router that does not allow for dual band setup, like the old ones did. I have tried calling support and chatting with the AI agent, and neither option actually solved the problem, or even let me speak with a person.
How do I create a 2.4 GHz network? If I don't get an answer quickly, I will get rid of the Xfinity router and go back to my own.

Howdy jcgnba, and happy Wednesday 👋 I appreciate you stopping by! I know from personal experience about pesky devices that need to connect to a 2.4GHZ network specifically like Roombas or wireless printers, so I can definitely help in making sure you're able to get your vacuum connected 👍 Depending on your internet equipment, you have the ability to split your by default combined Wi-Fi network into two bands between the 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ networks.
Are you using your own modem or renting one from us?

@jcgnba
They recently updated the gateway's firmware. You may now have to turn on the admin tool access first in the Xfinity App;
https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access
Open the Xfinity App. (You'll need a working connection for this step;
Go to the WiFi tab.
Select View WiFi equipment and open Advanced Settings.
Select Admin Tool online access.
Slide the toggle button to Allow Admin Tool access (ON).
Select Save.
Then visit http://10.0.0.1 while connected to your WiFi at home.
Username: admin
Password: Check the sticker on the bottom of your Xfinity WiFi Gateway.
