Thank you for choosing Xfinity and welcome to the Xfinity Forums, user_50nb6y. Setting up your Xfinity gateway is simple, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. To quickly run down a few reminders:

Connect your gateway: Start by plugging it into a coaxial cable and a power outlet.
Download the Xfinity app: Install it on your smartphone from your app store.
Log in: Use your Xfinity ID to sign into the app.
Begin activation: Go to the Account or Services tab and select “Activate xFi Gateway or Modem.”
Follow the prompts: The app will walk you through the setup process, which may include scanning the QR code on your gateway.
Customize your network: You’ll be able to set your Wi-Fi name and password during activation.
Finish up: Once complete, your gateway will be up and running.
