Seeing RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW errors
I see this error in my cable modem logs. It doesn't happen frequently, maybe a few times a day. This has been happening for a few months. I would notice connection issues on occasion where my modem would reboot itself (I'm assuming something was building up then the modem rebooted). I removed a tap that was being used to split the connection coming into the house so now the cable modem is hooked up directly to the incoming coax. The errors still occur but haven't noticed any connection issues lately. Should I be concerned? Is there an issue at the other end?

The downstream power levels are now on the high side. The SNR's and the upstream power levels are good. Live with it a while now and see what happens. If you don't actually experience any connectivity problems then don't sweat the log entries.

What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1
Please copy all of the text of the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers and paste them in your next post.
What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?
