user_zflzrc, thank you for reaching out. As @EG highlighted, we mainly provide one gateway (modem/router) per account. In some regions, two internet-capable devices, such as a wireless gateway and modem, can be supported at the customer’s request; however, they would be billed for two internet services and two equipment rental charges if the equipment is Comcast-issued. I see in your area (west division,) you would need an entirely separate account at the location, like a Comcast business home office account for example.
Line in from Xfinity splits to modem in out dwelling and to main dwelling. Signal active to both. Modem works but in main dwelling, using MoCA adapters, internet signal is not getting through even though coax lines are positive(using a line tester).
Without seeing a diagram of the wiring, or without being there, it's hard for me to fully understand the setup just from your description alone. Hopefully, that's it. Please post back with how things go.

Typically only one cable modem is allowed per residential address.

Why do you need a second modem exactly ? What are you trying to do / need to do ?

If there is a coax cable splitter in the line(s) between the two dwellings, is it a MoCA-compliant one (5-1675 MHz) ? Example here
