Second IP for Netgear CM1100

I've been trying to figure out how to get a second IP for my CM1100's second port. I spoke with customer service more than once now and they seemed like they had no Idea what I was talking about. They tried to upsell me to business class internet. I have seen many customers get to purchase second ip addresses and now that I am moving and re-doing my network I would very much like a second IP for my new modem. Any Ideas on what can be done?

No it doesnt show a second IP there. So Comcast only allows it in certain markets? That's unfortunate. I've decided to just add a second IP by adding a cellular carrier to my network as well. I know its not ideal but it meets the need for now. Very expensive solution. 😞

FWIW, the poster that originally responded to you is no longer active on these forums.

 

That said, they are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !
