Second IP Address needed for Arris S33

Per @ComcastMorgan in post Second IP Address needed for SB8200  I am creating my own post however this is for an Arris S33 Modem not the SB8200.

Is there any way to get an additional IP Address to be provisioned on the second port on the cable modem? I checked the rate card and it isn't there so that is why I am starting this thread

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

The answer is going to be more or less the same no matter which brand of modem. Comcast doesn't want to give out multiple IP addresses to residential accounts.

Hi, smithg001. Thanks for posting! Great question. In my experience, our additional IP address feature mainly works with the SB8200. Due to the type of software that supports this feature and how it's maintained since we're phasing this option out, compatibility with your unique personal device isn't certain. We can certainly try it and check to see! If it is still available to you in your area, I'm willing to add it for you and you're welcome to complete some testing afterward to verify and confirm. How does that sound? If it is available, it's generally $4.95 a month to utilize the service.

Please send me a PM with your first and last name, I will reply from there as soon as possible. To send a private message, please click my name "ComcastMorgan" then select "Send a Message" on the right side.

Thank you!

I am curious if there were results for this?

I have an SB8200 but because I am moving up to an ASUS ROG AXE2500 for my router I am looking at moving to the S33 to utilize the 2.5Gbps port instead of Aggregating 2x1Gbps.

Comcast Morgan- you still out there?  I am unable to private message you. I actually work for ARRIS (CommScope) - no one at your retail store had clue about a second IP{ address,  is it still offered?
