Samsung TV suddenly failing to connect to Xfinity wifi

I just bought this TV, and up until now, everything was fine. The first time this happened, my TV could connect to the local network but not to the internet, so I had access to nothing. The issue resolved itself after days of sitting idle. Now, the TV will not connect to the local network or the internet, and I don't understand what is happening. I firmly believe it's something with Xfinity and not the TV itself. Please help me resolve this issue.

hello @RaiderRed Is this issue still impacting you? Seems like it's been intermittent when it happens. When the issue presents itself, is the modem disconnecting or just the connection for the TV? Are you able to navigate to your main inputs and view them(HDMI1/2 ) on the main cable box?

Hello,

Thank you for your response. The modem doesn’t seem to be disconnected because all of my other devices are connected fine, except my father is having trouble connecting his laptop. The HDMI inputs are fine. It won’t even connect when wired.

@RaiderRed Thank you for letting us know. We will want to troubleshoot this further with you. Please send a private message with your first and last name, as well as complete service address to "Xfinity Support". To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

 

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (upper right corner of this page)
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  4. Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  5. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  6. Press Enter to send your message
