S33 Modem, only a single bonded upstream channel (upload speeds capped at 20mpbs)

Hi All -

Looking for some help troble shooting my slow upload speed problems. I only have a single bonded upstream channel according to my modem I'm guessing that is at the root of the issue. I should be getitng "upto" 200mbps, in practice I am only getting 20mbps.

The coax in my house is new, and the line from the pole to my home was replaced ~3 years ago.

I have one "connector" in my home that is essentially this Coax Cable extender

I do not have the ability to remove the extender based on where the coax comes into my house, and where my network rack is located. If that is potentially an issue I can purchase a new extender if somebody could point me to the appropriate one.

That's the correct one. Have you tried refreshing it by unscrewing both fittings, checking the center conductors for oxidation, the screwing them back on and making sure that they are finger-tight?

Please post all of the signal status tables in their entirety (copy&paste).

Hey EG -

Thanks for the response, I had a tech out today who removed a "trap" from the pole, that helped (my speeds went from 20mbps to ~45-50 mbps), and unfortuantly I needed to take a work call so I said that was good enough for now. I really wanted to get it resovled, but the timing was poor. I now have 4 bonded uplink channels, here are the current power ratings:

(upstream)

Channel ID Lock Status US Channel Type Frequency Width Power
17 Locked SC-QAM 16400000 Hz 6400000 37.8 dBmV
18 Locked SC-QAM 22800000 Hz 6400000 38.3 dBmV
19 Locked SC-QAM 29200000 Hz 6400000 38.0 dBmV
20 Locked SC-QAM 35600000 Hz 6400000 38.8 dBmV

Downstream (which is fine, I get my full 1.2 gbps)

Ah, yes. That will make only one upstream channel become locked too. Seems that their noise police were out to install it. And they do it unannounced usually.... Your premise's wiring / equipment was probably injecting noise into the lines / system that could affect other neighbors. The stats that you posted are okay ! HAPPY HOLIDAYS !
