S33 DOCSIS 3.1 modem upload speeds remain the same

After getting an email from Xfinity about having a 5x-10x upload speed increase if I upgrade my hardware I did so by replacing a SB6910 with a S33.   However, upload speeds remain the same.  ~24Mbps with a wire connection.   Anyone else have this same experience with the S33?  According to Xfinity agent my service is 800/100.

However, after an hour the modem reset and upload is now the increased speeds.  Problem solved.   Now to return the S33 if the CODA56 is stable.

Having to be on 192.168.100.0/24 is pretty brain dead to view the CODA56 webui.  I hope they turn that off.

The modem is not one of the models for which faster uploads have been enabled, and there may be other obstacles. See https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/wiki/knowledgebase/next-generation-internet/.

Welp.  I just tested a CODA56 and the same results.   Uploads are topped at ~20Mbps.

@skered Thank you so much for your post for help with our new Next-generation Upload speeds! BruceW is on point for the S33, currently there are 5 models that can support our next-generation upload speeds. As of November 22, 2023, those are:

Hitron Technologies:
CODA
CODA56

Netgear:
CM3000
CBR750
ARRIS: G54

You can check out our list of approved devices here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices/ If you are logged in you will see a list of modems approved for our normal speeds based on your current promotion. At the very bottom in a blue tile you will an option to view all compatible devices (including next generation speed tiers) this is updated as we continue to test and approve devices capable of supporting our Next Generation speeds! If you were able to achieve the Next Generation upload speeds with the CODA56 after the resets that is great, and I would recommend sticking with that model for the time being. Keep an eye out on the supported device page and if the S33 is added you can always give that one a try! If you have any other issues with your upload speed let us know!
