Hi @user_9etiqb! Thanks for reaching out to our Xfinity Forum. We appreciate you being a customer with us, and please know that my team is always here to support you. For troubleshooting purposes, and at your convenience, can you please perform a manual reboot on the modem to see if that corrects this on your end?

To manually reboot, please unplug the power cable from the back of the modem, wait 10-15 secs, plug the power cable back in, and allow 10 mins or less for the modem to reboot.

boiler plate response. stop telling people to re-set their router (done way before you thot of it) and get the comcast network engineer to look at the router sending people from denver to chicago instead of to dallas.

@user_9etiqb

FWIW, these are all another provder's (twelve99.net) backbone transit routers beyond Comcast's webspace. You need to contact them about it.

if you aren't a comcast network engineer do not respond to this post.

user_9etiqb. I can understand why that routing path would stand out, especially when you’re trying to reach Dallas. Once your traffic leaves our network, the route can be determined by peering and routing decisions between upstream networks, so your Xfinity gateway isn’t able to simply choose Dallas instead of Chicago. The route can also change depending on network conditions. If you’re experiencing increased latency, packet loss, or another service issue along with this route, we’d be happy to troubleshoot the connection from our side.
