I've just purchased a Arlo wireless doorbell. I'm unable to pair it with my route. I need 2.4gHz to make that pairing. Please adjust my current gateway to allow for this new device to successfully connect. Thank you

Hello user_p09xue thanks so much for reaching out here via our Xfinity Forums with these gateway settings questions! If you are using an Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB6 and above) these utilize a feature called band steering. What this does is create a single network ID, and the modem determines which network to connect to based on the distance from the gateway. Smart devices such as cameras do still require the split network bands, and this can be adjusted via the Xfinity App:
How to do it:
Open the Xfinity app.
Go to the WiFi tab.
Tap WiFi Details.
Tap Edit WiFi Settings.
Check the Split Wi-Fi Bands button at the bottom. The App will provide a prompt saying "this isn't recommended"; then confirm the change.
