Router Randomly needs to be Rebooted
I have a third party Router that I use. It is an asus ac2600 router. On random occasions, the router stops working. I'll come home, try to open the garage door, and nothing. After I reboot the router, everything is back to normal. I've been told that it could be due to Comcast retrieving customer data from the router.
Should I run a script to force a router reboot each day? If so, how?
Would a VPN help?
Should I run a script to erase customer data? If so, how?
And, of course, it could be something completely random.
I'd be thankful for suggestions. Sorry for the newby questions. Thank you.
