Router is not working

My router is no longer working. I noticed I had no wifi and looked at my router to see no lights. I reset my router by unplugging and waiting 30 seconds. I plugged it back in and no lights still. My outlet still has voltage. What could be the problem?

How old is it? If you haven't gotten a new one for a while it could have simply just died.

You could try hard resetting it back to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear (or use the WPS button if it doesn't have a reset button hole) for 30 seconds. This can sometimes clear up some weird behavior issues. You will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch.

Good luck !

user_6t5e5p Thank you so much for your post for help with your router not working. That is odd for sure if you are still having issues we are more than happy to help! If this is a router you have connected to your modem do you have a connection without the router plugged in?

Have you checked out the awesome troubleshooting steps we have right here on our Forums?
