Ring camera won’t connect

Not a tech person.

xfinity WiFi running duel bands. Cameras needing 2.5 were fine now won’t connect. 
is there a fix for this?

I've seen similar issues pop up before, and I want to help you get this sorted out. It's definitely inconvenient when something that was working perfectly fine suddenly decides not to cooperate!

 

I know how important it is to keep your home secure and that's why I want to help you get your Ring camera back online. The dual-band WiFi setup can sometimes be a little tricky with devices that only use the 2.4 GHz band. Even if it was working before, sometimes settings can change, or interference can pop up.

Let's try a few things. First, could you double-check that your Ring camera is indeed trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz band? Sometimes they can get confused. Also, have you tried simply restarting your modem and router? It's the classic "turn it off and on again" trick, but it often works! If that does not work, please let me know, so I can continue to troubleshoot this with you.
