Hi everyone,
I've just moved into a new house and trying to get my internet all wired up and just had a general question about the Comcast coaxial cable in.
I've managed to find my coaxial in the basement. My question is there a recommend cable length for the coaxial to my router. Ideally would like the best performance rather than best location for me.
Wondered if coaxial has any cable limitations?

Yes sorry normal have a combo modem a router.
This time using the ISP modem. Currently cable in is routed to the living room and has a broken connector.
So looking to rerun the coax to the modem in a sever rack in the basement. Id say the basement is 40FT long and the cable in is the other side of the basement as to where the rack would be.
Just wanted to make sure than the new lenght of cable wouldnt decrease the performance.
