Request for Site Survey & Infrastructure Reconnection for Newly Renovated Multi-Unit Condo Building
Hi Xfinity Support Team,
I recently purchased a unit in a multi-unit condominium building that was recently fully renovated. During the renovation process, the previous building owner disconnected and removed the external cable connection box/demarcation point that provided Xfinity cable internet to all units.
Construction is now completely finished, all sellable units have been sold (some are staying as rentals), and the HOA/residents are requesting to have Xfinity service infrastructure re-established for the building.
Based on Xfinity’s multi-unit plant extension / commercial-residential reconnect process, we understand the general workflow requires:
Site Survey: Conducting an initial survey (3–10 business days) to assess service feasibility and identify the feed location.
Decision & Cost Estimation: Reviewing survey results and providing any necessary construction cost estimates for HOA/owner approval.
Construction & Design: Creating the installation design, securing local permitting, and running/connecting the line.
Service Sign-Up: Notifying unit owners once the tap is live so individual residents can activate services.
Could an Official Employee please assist us with opening a formal ticket/service request for a plant survey and site assessment?
I am prepared to provide the property address, HOA contact details, and any necessary property access information via Direct Message once you respond.
Thank you!
