Recurring xfinity issues FINALLY have a resolution in sight!
So I've had a recurring issue for the last 9 years where every 3-4 months my connection will drop for 15-30 seconds every 30 minutes which started happening again last Tuesday. This is just enough to prevent you from being able to work or do anything. I've already had a technician out yesterday, today they were supposedly having the lines checked in the area outside of my property and the next technician is scheduled to come next Tuesday.
At this point, I've removed every splitter and connector that is installed including the new ones that were put in yesterday so it's a straight line from the pole to the modem with only 1 connector in a box outside of the house. I have not changed anything on the modem yet, it is still all the configurations that Comcast enabled on it.

Every time this happens, it takes anywhere from 3-7 technicians coming out, testing 2-4 different modems and roughly 1 month to get resolved. This means that 25% of the year, I am paying for a 1gb internet connection with unlimited data that is so unstable that we are unable to utilize it for work, classes, webinars/meetings or telehealth services.
Now I'm still waiting for Xfinity to "Resolve" it this time, but I just received a notice in the mail that our local power company has deemed STABLE and RELIABLE internet connectivity as a necesary utility and they are working on implimenting a fiber internet service. Who would have thought that the resolution to my xfinity nightmares would come from the power company?
