Recurring neighborhood-wide internet outages — requesting escalation

We have experienced recurring Xfinity internet outages since moving into our home in the summer of 2025, often several times per month. This is not an isolated modem or Wi-Fi issue. Multiple homes in our Walnut Creek neighborhood (located in Huntingtown MD) experience the outages simultaneously, including the current outage on October 6, and neighbors have also reported frequent previous outages.

My wife works from home, as do

some of our neighbors, so these repeated multi-hour interruptions are becoming a significant problem. Individual outage notifications and restoration estimates are not addressing the underlying reliability issue.

I’m asking Xfinity to:

  1. Review the outage/service history for our area and determine whether there is a recurring plant, node, tap, or other infrastructure issue.
  2. Escalate this for a root-cause investigation rather than treating each occurrence independently.
  3. Review our account for credits for past service interruptions and an appropriate adjustment for the chronic reliability problem.

I have screenshots documenting neighborhood-wide outages and can provide our account and service address privately.
