Re: Modem Keeps Rebooting around Midnight, Causing Issues with Work

I have the same T25 issue.  Internet connection dies sometime after midnight and the only fix is to pull power and restart the T25.

I haven't seen a pattern for when it happens.  Sometimes it goes more than a week without a reset, sometimes it's every couple days.

If you want to troubleshoot this yourself, please see Internet Troubleshooting Tips. If you still need help, please post the following information from your modem:

  • downstream power levels and SNR
  • upstream power levels
  • error log

Unfortunately, the problem is the T25 and Comcast's network.  Mostly the T25, I suspect.  However Comcast continues to point people at this modem as "compatible" when it clearly is not reliable on their network.

I would suggest that you get a Netgear CM1150V. Return your T25, if you can.  I really can't wish the back and forth trying to figure out the problem like I had to endure on anyone.

This was definitely an Xfinity issue. I've had the T25 for 2 years now. Last year it would constantly restart at just after midnight. Since the beginning of this year, it has been flawless. Yes, it's been running the same FW since I've bought it, so no FW update fixed it.

This was completely on Xfinity. It's because of how they were setting up customers that owned their own modem and also had unlimited data. End of story.
