Re: Data Increase

Yes I had noticed my data usage has almost doubled last month. I was averaging between 650G and 800G. All of a sudden last month it went up to 1,549G. 

I had logged in my xfinity router and found what is called "UNCORRECTED ERRORS"

These are errors that occure in the system that can not be rebuiltand have to ask for the same information again from the server. When this happens it will slow down your connection speed and cause data spikes. I have been fighting this with the online techs for over 3 weeks now. 

They sent a tech out to my home, who found nothing wrong...of course. Then sent me a replacement modem, which is a downgrade and what I had before. I had just moved to a new location and had no issues at all at my previouse home. I have removed all cables from the distro block under my house except the power line and the 1 line going to my modem. There are no breaks in the line from pole to modem except the ground block and distro box. I have checked the voltage from ground to the Xfinity lines which is less than 1 volt.  Made sure the lines are not next to any electrical under the home. 

The errors have to be on thier lines comming to my home. They have so far charged me $70 for a tech visit that did nothing. $15 to send a new modem/router.  I do have another tech visit scheduled for the 20th of this month. However my data has doubled, i am not getting but 32Mbps of my 200Mbps I am paying for and most like I will get charged again for the tech visit. 

Currently my routers uptime is 14 hours. Here are the errors. The bottom row is the uncorrected errors. It is over 400 MILLION on 1 channel.  17 channels failing. I am sure this will explain the data usage,. 

If you log into your modem click on Connection then Xfinity network. This report will be towards the bottom.
