Re: Constant disconnects

In my case its working fine when connected to a LAN cable direct to the cable modem. What I dont understand was when I connected to my router, Im not getting any internet ( tested for 3 routers ). Internet only works when connected straight to the cable modem via LAN cable but when connected to the routers regardless if its LAN cable or not, it does not work. This problem all started after reseting my cable modem and router due to constant disconnect. I'm located in Aurora, Illinois.

FWIW, you need to power cycle/re-boot the modem each and every time that you change the device that is being directly connected to it in order for that device to be able to get an internet connection.

Yes, I did the reset/rebooth when ever I put the other routers but still have the same issue. Is it possible that a protocol or something that was sent out by comcast prevent the use of other router to work?
