Random Disconnects

My internet has been randomly disconnecting for nearly half a year now. Some days, it works fine, runs at perfect speeds, etc. but other days, every five minutes or so, the wifi on my phone and all other devices in the house will just go out. It has come to the point where it's becoming hard for me to be able to work. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In addition to this, when I restart my modem, the color shows that I am connected, however, when I go on the XFINITY app itself to check the status of my connection, it says I'm not connected.

If this is Xfinity Modem I would go and get a new one. simply take it in they will give you a new one. If its yours that's another issue. I will point out certain things in the house can cause Wi-Fi issues even down to microwaves. If you get new modem and problem is gone then your good. If you get new modem and problem persists that leaves two things, Either Move the router to a new location or Call in and tell them issues that your having and they will schedule a tech to come out.  You may have a signal issue. Hope this helps. I would follow these steps.

For a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before proceeding any further.
