Providing Xfinity Tech w/WiFi password (Tech Requested)
I had a tech come to my house today who successfully got our internet up and running after replacing outside cable lines that had been chewed up by squirrels.
After completing this, he asked for our wifi password to run a speed test. He knew I was uncomforable with this but assured me he would never remember it. He entered it into his phone, so it's not a matter of him remembering it, as it's now most likely stored in his phone.
I'm now very concerned about this. His device showed up in my account and I paused it. Was it necessary to give this to him? Was it appropriate to be asked for it?

@user_x0qgwk I can understand your concerns, but sometimes the technician need to test your network by actually being connected to your network. Like when a technician does an install for example, they will ask you what you want your network name, and password to be, and set it up for you. You can always manage devices with our Xfinity app (as you already did) to pause, and remove devices from your network.
