Prolonged internet service outage

I’m extremely frustrated with the ongoing issues with my Xfinity internet service. I have already spent a significant amount of time on the phone with support, including having diagnostics run and a hard reset performed on my Netgear CM1000v2 modem. Despite all of that, the problem still has not been resolved, and my service has continued to drop out.

At this point, this is more than just an inconvenience. I have a 20-month-old daughter, and when my internet goes down, I lose access to the camera in her bedroom. I rely on that camera to check on her, especially when she is sleeping. Having that ability taken away because of an ongoing service issue is extremely frustrating and concerning.

I have been patient and have given Xfinity multiple opportunities to actually identify and fix the problem, but I keep ending up right back where I started. I should not have to repeatedly contact customer service for the same issue without receiving a permanent solution.

I am requesting that Xfinity take ownership of this situation, investigate the underlying cause rather than continuing to reset equipment, and provide a real resolution. I also expect an undeniable credit toward my bill for the service interruptions and the amount of time I have paid for a service that has not been reliably provided.

Please review my account, the documented outages/support contacts, and the troubleshooting that has already been performed. I would like confirmation of the credit being applied and a clear explanation of what Xfinity is doing to prevent this from continuing.

I’m not looking for another temporary reset. I need the actual problem fixed.

user_1367R Thanks for reaching out to us here on Forums for assistance with an on going issue you are having with your service. The situation you described would certainly be frustrating for me as well, and I would be happy to help with getting the problem resolved for you once and for all. I'll need a direct message with the account information to review what has already been done up to this point to get it resolved, and go from there to get you the help you need.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"

As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press Enter to send it.
