Professional Scammers- Friends don’t let friends get Xfinity

After I had tried for months and months to get my billing issues (I’ve paid more in 6 months than I agreed to pay for a full year) resolved through phone calls ,virtual support, and customer service chat, I finally went into the Xfinity store yesterday.

The representative deeply apologized, said I would’ve refunded, and canceled my contract without repercussion. We specifically set my cancelation date/equipment return date for a week from yesterday, since it’s finals week.

However, today when I woke up my service had been wrongfully and completely turned off and I was still being billed.

I tried reaching out to virtual support and had two people deeply apologize for their error and promise to turn the service on before disconnecting from the chat without doing so.

I called and went though and impossibly long phone tree before (both times) it said to try virtual support and hung up on me.

I am jeopardy of losing my standing as a student if I suddenly lose access to WiFi at my house in middle of finals week. The reason I wanted out of my contract in the first place (aside from the outrageous overbuilding) was that my WiFi was wrongfully shut off IN MIDDLE OF MY MIDTERM EXAM a few weeks ago, even though I’d paid a full week early.

Good afternoon user_2nxw1j. I am more than happy to assist you. Certainly apologize if the services were shut off earlier than anticipated. I happy to help you out regarding this concern. I will just need some additional information.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send it.
