Problems with internet after routine maintenance

We switched from a triple play plan to an internet only plan a little over a month ago. Our internet worked perfectly for about a week until routine maintenance was performed. Since then we have been dealing with extremely slow speeds and random disconnections. Restarting the router through the app and unplugging the router several times has done nothing.
