Printing from iphone

What setting needs to be changed in order to allow devices on the network to communicate with each other? I can no longer print from my phone since getting Xfinity service.

Hi there, @user_e4d69f, thank you for taking the time to reach out to us through our Xfinity Forums. I know how important it is to have your devices communicating with each other. Typically, all that is needed is both devices have to be on the same network. Are you receiving a specific error message?

They are both on the same network. Upon searching this is a known issue with some routers where you have to disable “privacy separator” but it is unclear how to achieve this with Xfinity. Please advise.

Which type of phone are you using, iPhone or Android? Also, have you gone through the settings on the phone to make sure the right settings?

Using iPhone. I assume the settings are correct—it worked correctly before I changed internet providers. Is there something that needs to change for Xfinity?

@user_e4d69f Have you tried the following on your iPhone: Settings> Hardware> Create Printer station. Enter station name> printer, then select it. Connect AirPrint and choose the printer?
