Printer IP address

Xfinity has assigned my printer an IP address that starts with 10.0.  Unfortunately my company VPN will not work with that. So to print, I have to disconnect my VPN.  Can Xfinity change the IP to something that doesn’t start with 10?

Greetings, @DCBuckeye! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your printer, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance. Are you using a managed router?

Thank you for clarifying! I have only ever seen device IP Addresses in the 10.0.x.x format. If you are using a VPN, then you may need to set up your printer on a dedicated port that can be accessed from outside your network. Have you tried setting it up that way, or does your VPN have stricter requirements for networked printers?
