PPC-9M-UU

Hello - I have a quick question - I use to have 4 set top boxes with a cable modem for my internet thru the PCC-9M-UU amplifier and now I no longer have any of the TV set top boxes.  If I only have the cable modem now, can I just remove the PCC-9M-UU amplifier and run the comcast cable straight to the cable modem?  Thanks, Paul

The amplifier may actually be limiting the performance of the modem, so if the amp is not needed go ahead remove it. Connecting the modem directly to the Comcast/Xfinity cable should work fine.

pdbing, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out. I can understand the concern with wanting to know if you can remove that PCC-9M-UU amplifier and run a coaxial cable straight to the cable modem for the Xfinity internet service, since you no longer have the cable boxes. You've reached the right place. We are a team of experts who are dedicated to resolving Xfinity service concerns over social media. We can help.  It is generally advisable to ensure that all connections, including any amplifiers, are functioning properly for optimal signal quality. If you are experiencing issues, it may be worth checking the connections or consulting with a technician for guidance. Are you noticing any service issues currently?
