Power cord for the xfinity modem is loose and occasionally breaks contact. Do I just need a new cord? Where to get?

Power cord for the xfinity modem is loose and occasionally breaks contact.  Do I just need a new cord?  Where to get?

It could be the cord itself, or it might be the power socket terminals on the back of the modem, or a combination of them both. The fastest would be to bring the cord to your local Xfinity store and get it swapped for another and see. Or if you're so inclined, bring them both in for a swap. It's up to you.

For curiosity, did you have to get them both swapped out ?

Hello, @user_7eb71b, and thank you for choosing Xfinity! As our amazing community expert @EG mentioned, you can swap out your Xfinity modem power cord at a nearby Xfinity service center. Booking an appointment ahead of time helps to cut down on any wait time. And, it might be wise to bring your modem for a closer inspection to rule out all possibilities for the loosely connected power cord.
