Port Forwarding Setup issue

I am a new Comcast customer. I am trying to setup Port Forwarding on a number of devices on my LAN - and it's not working. I keep getting an Error Message -- We're having some trouble - Please try again. if the problem persists , check back later. Well I waited - tried this all weekend. Called into Call Center - NO HELP. Comcast sent out TECHNICIAN - No HELP. Am really frustrated -- can anyone please help -- looks like a System issue -- is there a work around anyone can recommend???

For Xfinity Customers having this issue, I found out the work-around.  After many hours of Trial & Error and Call center calls and site technician visits. The issue appears to have nothing to do with being able to configure through the Smartphone App, as I do not have access to that -- I have done all of my configuration thorugh the Web Portal (internet.xfinity.com). Looks like there is a problem in the PORT FORWARD "create/modify" Form -- after you've chosen the DEVICE you want to Port Forward on - define/add the Port/Ports you want to add or modify -- but don't click "NEXT" -- goto PROTOCOL list - and choose one (dont' leave the entry as "DEFAULT - TCP/UDP" you need to click in that field - then choose TCP, UDP, then go back to TCP/UDP if that's what protocol you want to use.

I hope this helps other people having the same issue.

Same issue here, I've tried both the xfinity connect website and the xfinity home app, no change, doesn't work. The workaround posted above doesn't work for me either. Attempting to forward port 1194/UDP to a known device on my network always fails with 'We're having trouble' message. I miss the old days when I would log into my gateway and do this from the local web UI. That ALWAYS worked. As an aside, I notice you no longer see a message stating the device you want to forward to needs to be a DHCP host. So maybe it still does. Which doesn't work for me.

I think you are right. What I did was have the device connect as DHCP, then I logged directly into the Xfinity Gateway and changed the assigned to "DHCP Reserved". This way my device always starts up with same IP assignments. This was the only way I was able to save Port Forwards. Afterwards - fyi, I was able - through the direct login to the Xfinity Gateway change the IP address reservation. What I found was you always had to setup your device settings a "DHCP" - IP assignments needs to be managed by the gateway -- gone are the days where you assign static IP on the device itself and be able to forward the PORTS through the Xfinity Gateway.

Oh wow I'm having the same exact issue right now.  This and not being able to set your own DNS server is going to make me switch to AT&T.

Still no resolution for this? Even the default "Minecraft" port forwarding isn't working for me.  I have tried a good number of ports to try and they are all failing with the above message.
