Thanks for meeting us here in our community about port forwarding, @user_xetra

To set up port forwarding using the Xfinity app, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Xfinity app with your Xfinity ID and password.
  2. Select WiFi from the bottom navigation.
  3. Choose View WiFi equipment.
  4. Tap Advanced Settings.
  5. Select Port forwarding.
  6. Click Add Port Forward and continue.
  7. Choose the device for the port forward from the list.
  8. Optionally, select a common application or choose Manual Setup for specific port numbers.
  9. Select Apply Changes to complete the setup.

This process allows specific applications to communicate through designated ports.

Thanks for a reply.

I know how to set it up. This is a common issue among many XFinity users now.

Port forwarding used to work, and now it just does not.

I tried forwarding several ports from several devices but it does not work.

The app shows the ports as forwarded but still, I can make no connection.

Big bug in the Xfinity Router or service.

Have your technicians looked into this yet, or is this issue being neglected due to an insufficient number of users complaining?

Thanks.

Good morning @user_xetra we would be happy to take a closer look.

Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
