Port forwarding doesnt work unless connected through WI-FI

So I'm attempting to set up port forwarding for a personal Minecraft server for me and a friend to play on. i set up port forwarding for the game on my device through the app but it will only work if my PC is connected to WI-FI and it won't function or is blocked in some unseeable way when im connected through ethernet connection. is there is a way to do this without having to log into the router gateway? (forgot the login information to the 10.0.0.1 admin gateway to the router and i live with two older men i don't want to hassle with having to re-enter the passwords into every device they use after a factory reset to get access to that back)

Hello @user_mnayh8, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Are you still experiencing issues setting up the port forwarding when hardwired? The other way to set up port forwarding without using the app would be to log into the router. Is the advance security turned on in the app?
