Poor Upload Speeds

Hello,

I currently have the Performance Pro+ Internet Service from comcast, which advertises 400mb Down/10mb Up. I am getting the 400mb download speed, but I only get 4mb upload. Is there any way to improve this? I have a modem that can accommodate much faster speeds in both download and upload.

Hello - I have tried all of the troubleshooting recommendations outside of changing my modem and I still only get 4mb upload. However, it is on the approved list from Comcast. Why can't I hit the advertised 10mb or close to it?

According to Motorola my Modem is capable of 1000mb down/246mb up.

We can help! Are you testing over Wi-Fi or using a device directly connected to your modem via ethernet, @user_70ho2z? Testing using a direct connection will yield the most accurate results. Swapping out cables may help too. Is the modem plugged into an outlet on its own, or plugged into a power strip with other devices? Where is your modem located within your home?

Hello - I am using a device that is plugged directly into my router via ethernet. I have a very high quality cat8 cable with no kinks. The modem is plugged into a power stripe with other devices. Modem is located directly next to my router.
