Poor or no connectivity through wired ethernet

I'm running windows 7 on my PC that's connected to the xfi gateway by an ethernet cable. It always worked fine until today. It shows that it's connected but either won't a website through chrome or Internet explorer, or it will be incredibly slow and only partially load. At times it has showed that my device is paused, even though I never paused it, and it doesn't show that it's paused on the Xfinity app. It did show a lot of devices that are not mine had connected to my wifi recently. I paused all of them, but that issue shouldn't affect a wired connection anyway. The only thing that I did recently that was out of the ordinary was an accidental hard shutdown a day ago.

Thank you for reaching out @user_afa304. If you are showing devices that do not belong on your network I would remove them and then change your network name and password - especially if you feel someone may be using your network without your permission. In the Xfinity app, when you select the device, do you see an option that says "Forget Device"? This will forget the devices credentials for log in, and remove it from the network. Once that is complete I suggest trying to reconnect your devices to your network with your devices.
