Poor Cable Modem Connection

As of this Monday, I've been experiencing wildly erratic connection speeds from 98mps to 1.8Gbps. When I log into my cable modem, it states that the connection is poor, specifically the downstream and upstream status. I've been trying to explain this to customer service, but they wanted to send someone out to check it. This seems like a problem with connectivity outside my home, not inside. How can I get someone to test this and confirm my theory?

Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, as a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

Also. What do the modem's signal status values look like ?

Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.

Many times there are awesome routers and devices for a WiFi connection, but each device that the signal goes through along with environmental factors can inhibit speeds while connected to WiFi. With an ethernet connection, every device that is connected outside of the initial modem connection uses up some of the available speed to function, think of it as a split on the line that removes some of the available speeds, the more devices connected, the more the degradation of the speeds available.

Would you mind running a speed test here https://speedtest.xfinity.com/ while being hardwired to the modem with an ethernet cable and sending me the results? Also, here is a link that will give you a better understanding of your WiFi connection. My question ? Also, have you had a chance to gather that signal value info ?
