POD problems with android devices

I saw some posts similar to my issue but no real answer. If I use an xfinity pod my android devices indicate that they have strong wifi. However, while using the pod certain apps do not want to open on my android devices. I can browse the web and use email. However,  streaming apps and, most notably. the Xfinity app doesn't want to open if I have a Pod on my system. If I unplug the pod my android apps all work fine.

The final answer was a new gateway. Everything worked fine once I  got a new gateway.

 To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

 Click "Sign In" if necessary

 Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7 

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

 The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

 Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

 Press Enter to send it
