Plan says 100Mbps upload speed but only getting 20Mbps

Hello, I recently noticed that my plan was upgraded to include 100Mbps upload speed. I checked and was only getting around 20Mbps. I did some research and discovered that my previous modem was not enabled by xfinity to use that speed, so I purchased one that was officially listed as supporting it: the Hitron CODA56. After setting it up I tested my connection and I am currently still getting around 20Mbps upload speed. What do I do now? Does someone need to manually enable the 100Mbps speed for me? If not is this just false advertising and I don't actually receive 100Mbps upload for some reason?

Besides having an approved modem or gateway, there are other requirements for the faster upload speeds. See https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/wiki/knowledgebase/next-generation-internet. Hopefully an employee will respond to your message to determine what the problem is. Also a number of other customers have reported delays of a day or so and/or needing to reset the CODA56 multiple times before the faster upload speeds take effect.

Comcast could make all of this much clearer and simpler, but they have chosen not to do so.

Justcallmeivan Hello there, Happy Saturday! We appreciate you reaching out to our Community Forums Team for assistance with your speeds. We want to help you get the speeds you should be getting as quickly as possible. Have you had a chance to power reboot the modem as @BruceW mentioned? If not, can you please try to power cycle your modem and then check your speeds again. If you are still not getting the increased speed, please send us a Direct Message with your name, and service address?

Hello and thank you for the help. It seems that in my case I just had to wait a couple days. As of this morning it is at 100Mbps upload speed.
