Ping Spikes
Hello I am going crazy been having ping spikes and occasional packet loss during gaming I can not fix the issue? everything on my computer is updated drivers everything even resetted it for this reason then I changed my own router modem to xfinity xfi gateway I still have the issues... Had 2 technician visits first one changed the power levels on fiber box second one looked and tested speed said its fine yes like I do have internet but ping spikes are terrible and is making me unable to play games please help!

Someone maybe performing the "Ping of Death" on your IP address. Being that the technicians didn't find a local issue.
I recommend requesting for a new IP address and possibly setting up a VPN.

Good luck trying to get a new IP addy assignment from Comcast....
Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, for a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
