Ping spikes throughout the day

Hello,

For the last few months I've been experiencing ping spikes throughout pretty much every day (when pinging 8.8.8.8, it will randomly jump from approx. 20ms to over 100ms, makes it nearly impossible to play games or stream things). I'll post some information from my modem (XB6) below. I run it in bridge mode with an ASUS RT-AC68U. I bought the ASUS initially to try and combat these ping problems but had no luck there. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, @, thank you for reaching out in our forum and giving our community a chance to help you. I'm not a big gamer, but I can definitely see how that would get in the way and make things a little frustrating, to say the least. I'd love a chance to work with you on your connection issues. You mentioned that you're using your modem in bridge mode, have you had a chance to try to replicate the issue with just using your Xfinity modem and no standalone router connected? Thank you for also taking the time to post those reports, they're super helpful to get us on the same page.

Hi there. I bought the router in the first place to try and fix the ping issues. I still have the same problems if I remove the router entirely.
